Arun District Council.

We were appointed as Principal Contractor by Arun District Council between 2007 – 2011 for the Decent Homes refurbishment programme of 1200 units. Refurbishment scope included new kitchens, new bathroom, code 1 works and electrical re-wires and central heating works and Occupational Therapy adaptations.

As the Main Contractor we implemented and controlled the following systems :

Systems

  • Provision of site team which include Project Manager, Site Manager, and Resident Liaison Officer.
  • Provision of site set up to include offices, welfare facilities, meeting room, and rest bite unit.
  • Contract Health and Saftey Plan.
  • Resident Liaison plan and procedures including provision of “respite accommodation”.
  • Scope surveys and production of schedule of works.
  • Resident consultation and kitchen and Bathroom choice selection.
  • Site work force induction system and secure pass photo ID.
  • Programming and scheduling works.
  • Monthly client review meeting and minutes.
  • Issue KPI information including presentation of results.

Camden.

We were appointed sub-contractors by Lakehouse to carry out Decent Homes kitchen and bathroom refurbishment works on behalf of Camden Council between 1 Sept 2009 – 1 July 2010. In that time we worked on approx. 485 occupied properties in low and high rise blocks and street properties carrying out the following works:

  • Kitchen refurbishments.
  • Bathroom refurbishments.
  • Full electrical re-wires.
  • In this time we worked closely with Lakehouse and Camden Council to develop systems to maintain and achieve programme.

 

Southwark Council.

St Saviours Estate

Working as part of the supply chain, we were part of the on-going team to deliver Decent Homes refurbishments in this borough. Having completed the first part of a three year programme, we, as well as fitting new kitchens and bathrooms, have carried out replacement central heating works, electrical rewires and the renewal of fire doors to 58 properties.

We were appointed sub-contractors by Mulalley to carry out Decent Homes kitchen and bathroom refurbishment works on behalf of Watford Housing Trust between August 2011 – August 2012. In which time we worked on approx. 550 occupied properties carrying out the following works:

  • Kitchen refurbishments.
  • Bathroom refurbishments.
  • O.T bathroom refurbishments.
  • Boiler replacement.
  • Full central heating installation.
  • Full electrical re-wires.
  • Damp proofing works.

Void refurbishments.

On completion of this contract we were commended for the quality our work achieved.

Pheonix Community Housing.

We were appointed sub-contractors by Mulalley to carry out Decent Homes kitchen and bathroom refurbishment works on behalf of Pheonix homes. From May 2009 – November 2012 in that time we have worked on approximately 1700 occupied properties opening up to 25 properties a week as part of a rolling programme.

In that time we worked on approx.220 occupied properties carrying out the following works:

  • Bathroom refurbishments.
  • O.T kitchen refurbishments.
  • O.T bathroom refurbishments.
  • Boiler replacement.
  • Full central heating installation.
  • Full electrical re-wires.
  • Roofing works.

Enfield Homes.

We were appointed sub-contractors by Balfour Beatty to carry out Decent Homes kitchen and bathroom refurbishment works on behalf of Enfield Homes between Aug 2010 – Jan 2011. In that time we worked on approx. 240 occupied properties carrying out the following works:

  • Bathroom refurbishments
  • O.T bathroom refurbishments
  • Boiler replacement
  • Full central heating installation
  • Radiator replacement
  • Full electrical re-wires

We were commended by Enfield Borough Council for the quality of our works and the manner in which we performed.

The works were carried out in scattered street properties over a large geographical area. There were many environmental challenges which we had to consider and develop appropriate systems for.
