Tough Mudder's 2024

Congratulations to our team of Tough Mudder’s who completed the ultimate 10 mile, wet, muddy and very hilly course with 20 tough obstacle! Together they raised over £2,000 for Children with Cancer UK through sponsorship from very generous friends, family, colleagues and our supply chain.

On Saturday, 18th May our team of 8 Tough Mudder’s set off early to the tackle the Ultimate  10 miles, 20 obstacle Tough Mudder course at 8:00am.  The team were joined by 8 year old Henry Neal who thoroughly enjoyed the mud and mayhem in the junior circuit! With perfect weather conditions the team faced the biggest and best obstacles yet. The team supported each other to tackle each of the large obstacles and enjoyed a well deserved celebratory lunch afterwards.

The team would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has sponsored them, together they have raised over £2,045 for our charity partner Children with Cancer UK. These incredible donations will support their programmes to fund life-saving research into the causes of childhood cancer, developing better, kinder treatments. Around 4,200 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. That’s around 10 children and young people diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. Children with Cancer UK have been working tirelessly since 1988, to fund research and initiatives that support children and their families through their cancer journey.

Russell Neal, our Director who led the team on the day, says, “Well done to everyone who took part in the event and raised so much money. As a family-run SME, we are passionate about supporting our charity partners. The dedication and community spirit shown by our team and supporters was truly inspiring. We are looking forward to hosting further fundraising events throughout the year to support our three 2024 charities: Children with Cancer UK, Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, and Trussell Trust.”

The success of this Tough Mudder event is a testament to the strength of our team and community. It highlights the significant impact we can make when we come together for a worthy cause. The funds raised will provide tangible support and relief to families facing unimaginable challenges, aligning with our ongoing commitment to making a positive difference through our charitable activities.

We are excited about the upcoming fundraising events planned for the rest of the year, including a team Sky Dive taking place on the 8th June. Each event offers fantastic opportunities for team building and contributing to the important work all are charity partners are doing in the communities we live and work in.
