Almost 100 attendees joined us on our 2025 charity golf day to support our charity partner Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care. Despite a wet and windy start we had a fantastic day of golf and raised £19,080.50. Take a look at our fabulous video here.
The day began with a two tee start and saw 22 teams competing across Stanmore Golf Course, which was in great condition. Friendly competition, laughter, and some interesting shots filled the air as players teed off in support of Rennie Grove Peace. Throughout the course closely fought mini competitions were held for nearest the pin, longest drive and Beat the Pro and the golfers welcomed the sight of the refreshment’s buggies delivering cold drinks and snacks to the players!
After everyone came off the course we gathered in the club for a well-earned drink and a delicious Indian meal. This was followed by an emotive speech from Angela Beetlestone about the impact days like this make to the charity who only receive 12% funding for the services they provide. Angela’s words spurred on support for the Auction and Raffle which raised significant sums thanks to extreme generosity of our guests.
Marcus Neal, Director says; Without the support of your attendance and generosity in donations, the day would not be the same. Russell and I are deeply grateful for the long-standing support with our 7th Annual Golf Day. The Business would like to thank all connections both on the day and in the lead up for their involvement, it is sincerely appreciated. Our Charity Programme is firmly established in the Business model and ethics of all employees, it’s outstanding that our programme continues to grow each year to support dedicated causes in the local community.
The winners of our competitions were:
Winning Team: Buildsmith Solutions
Overall Winner: Bruce Evans
28 Handicap Winner: Jamie Mitchell
Nearest the Pin: TBC
Longest Drive: Dave Widdison
