Project Overview
R. Benson has been delivering a Roofing Repairs contract for SNG (formerly Network Homes) since June 2021 across their North London property stock. Initially we were managing in the region of 5 repairs per week but this grew rapidly to approximately 35 repairs per week due to our high level of performance.
The typical works carried out under this contract include:
- Resident Liaison and Customer Care
- Leak detection
- Flat and pitched roofing repairs and renewals
- Rainwater goods repairs and replacement
- Leadwork Repairs
During the four year contract our teams have worked collaboratively with SNG ensuring a high quality and efficient repairs service for residents. Following contract award we experienced issues with inaccurate details being taken by the SNG Customer Care Advisors, to assist them in making a correct diagnosis we produced a list of question they should ask when a tenant reported an issued. This additional support led to correct initial diagnosis enabled us to carry out more first time fixes and reduced disruption to the residents.
As members of the Competent Roofer scheme, we self-certify all roofing works, ensuring full compliance with current building regulations prior to handover. This not only streamlines the process but also reduces costs and avoids delays associated with external building control sign-off.

Benson has a proven and longstanding track record in delivering roofing repair and replacement projects for Network Homes, underpinned by over three decades of experience in social housing refurbishment. Our first ever invoice in 1991 was for roofing works for Network Housing Association, and we continue to deliver roofing programmes to this day.
