R. Benson have been awarded a two year contract to carry out EICRs and remedial works on behalf of Gateway Housing Association. Works were secured through the PublicProcure Heating, Electrical & Decarbonisation Framework.
The scope of work involves completing high volumes of EICRs, an initial backlog of EICRs to 320, along with associated electrical remedial works necessary to secure satisfactory certificates for the client. These tasks typically include
- EICR testing of domestic and communal electrical installations
- CCU and Distribution Board replacements
- Replacement of out-of-date smoke/heat detectors
- Upgrading of smoke detection systems to LD2 standard
- Fault finding
- Partial rewires to damaged circuits where required
- Upgrades to earthing arrangements
- Installation of RCBO’s, SPD’s and AFDD’s
- Replacement of faulty extractor fans and damaged wiring accessories

Our flexible and responsive workforce, consisting of directly employed qualified electricians and support personnel, enable us to offer weekend appointments to assist residents who face difficulty in granting access during weekdays.
