R. Benson was instructed on a JCT Measured Term Contract to carry out void refurbishment for Notting Hill Genesis Following the successful completion of the initial 12 month contract R. Benson was awarded subsequent 12 month contracts to March 2024. The original contract included voids and repairs for their housing stock in North London, this has now been extended to include East London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex due to the excellent level of service provided.
Our void refurbishment programme for NHG encompasses a comprehensive suite of services, including:
- Kitchens and bathroom replacement
- Disabled adaptations
- Painting and decorating
- Replacement of flooring (vinyl in kitchens and bathrooms, carpet in lounges and bedrooms)
- Windows and doors replacement
- Non-structural changes to building configuration
- Electrical testing, remedials and rewires
- Central heating and boiler replacement
- EPC energy performance certification
R. Benson has partnered closely with NHG to overhaul and update void specifications, working collaboratively to improve environmental performance and asset value. We piloted new specifications, incorporating feedback from local councillors, resident representatives and NHG staff before final sign-off. Our proactive approach during the pandemic included additional resident liaison and site management support, ensuring high customer satisfaction and continuity of service
