Following successful delivery of works packages through Homes for Haringey Property Works framework we were asked to assist them with completing EICR’s. The initial contract involved completing 2000 EICRs across their residential property stock over 6-month period with a view to this being extended over a longer period. As an existing supplier to Homes for Haringey we were able mobilise and commence work within four weeks are currently completing approximately 10 inspections each day.
Achieving Milestones
R. Benson was instructed to provide reports on the condition of in-service domestic electrical installations and to ensure that tested installations are compliant and safe for continued service. All Code 1 and 2 works identified were carried out immediately using our directly employed trades people to cause minimal disruption for the resident. Code 3 works are authorised by Homes for Haringey and completed utilising direct and specialist pre-established sub-contractors within 15 working days.
Added Value
To provide additional support to Homes for Haringey we are also carrying out LD2 upgrades to properties requiring Code 3 works. This not only provides a cost-saving to Homes for Haringey but also minimises disruption to residents as only one appointment is required. This has the added benefit of minimising the number of contractors entering each property and helping to mitigate against the spread of COVID-19.
