Project Overview
R. Benson has worked with London Borough of Ealing for over twenty years on a range of decent homes, planned works, kitchen and bathrooms, window and door replacements contracts. We have recently completed a planned works kitchens and bathroom replacement contract in occupied properties across London Borough of Ealing. We self delivered all the works, and facilitated the removal of any identified asbestos, enabling us maximum control of quality and programme.
The scope of works included:
- Full kitchen designs against LB Ealing design criteria
- Liaison with resident to choose colour finishes and sign off drawings
- Kitchen replacement
- Bathroom replacement
- Electrical upgrades and rewires
- Central heating adaptations and renewals
Achieving Milestones
To meet the programme and spend profile, we provided London Borough of Ealing accurate and timely budget forecasts which enabled them to complete additional work under the framework. London Borough of Ealing carried out their own Customer Satisfaction Survey following works and we were delighted to maintain a score of over 98% for the duration of the contract.
Added value
The project involved a number of sheltered accommodation schemes. On instruction of the works we immediately contacted the scheme wardens to arrange coffee mornings for residents. Sample units, tiles, floor coverings and paint colours were made available for residents to view and start to think about what they wanted in their new kitchens and bathrooms ahead of their individual technical survey and meeting with the RLO and Site Manager. The RLO also explained in detail the extent and duration of works.
R Benson have been excellent and I have seen and heard many examples of the commitment shown by the R. Benson team. When the guys also carry the shopping up the stairs for an elderly person that is beyond the call of duty especially in this day and age. LB Ealing Resident
