Project Overview
As an existing contractor with Notting Hill Genesis, we were approached in October 2019 to assist them in completing some urgent Kitchen and Bathroom replacement to 25 properties, located in London and the South East. All were difficult to access complaint properties that the existing contractor had been unable to deliver for various reasons.
Scope and services provided included:
- Full kitchen designs against design criteria
- Liaison with resident to choose colour finishes and sign off drawings
- Kitchen replacement
- Bathroom replacement
- Electrical upgrades and rewires
R. Benson mobilised very quickly to deliver these works using our experienced direct labour teams. We accelerated the programme to help the client meet their deadlines and achieved the following turnaround times:
- Average bathroom replacement: 5 Days
- Average kitchen replacement: 7 Days
- Average kitchen and bathroom replacement: 7 Day
The whole project was completed in just eight weeks and 100% of properties were Zero Defects at handover.
Added value
One resident suffered a range of complex medical problems that were exasperated by dust so our RLO and site team worked with him to put in place additional dust protection measures. The kitchen and bathroom replacement was completed and signed off with a delighted resident and client after just 6 days. The resident provided a 100% customer satisfaction score. All the work was delivered by our experienced, directly employed tradespeople, we provided additional RLO and Site Management support to closely monitor the work and maintained high levels of communication with both the resident and Notting Hill Genesis throughout. We maintained a customer satisfaction rating of 99.8%.
