R. Benson was delighted to host a Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care Golf Day on 6th October and to sponsor the 2023 Rennie Grove Chilterns 3 Peak Walk which took place on 10th September to help fund vital care and support for local people living with life-limiting illnesses.
Whether it’s a life-limiting condition or a terminal illness, Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care can support people of all ages through their work in the community, in the home and at their Inpatient Unit. They offer practical, specialist and emotional support for the whole family to help them spend quality time together when every moment matters.
Our golf day took place on 6th October at Chartridge Golf Club, 33 players took part in the event on a gloriously sunny day and raised an incredible £1,700 for the charity. The sun shone over the golf course and despite the many hills and hidden bunkers the day was enjoyed by all who took part.
The overall winner on the day was Neil Simpson who also shot nearest the pin on the 13th – a great day out for him! Charlie Gumbridge had the longest drive on the 3rd.
Thank you to all of our suppliers and sub-contractors who supported the event and to Katie Arthurs who attended on behalf of Rennie Grove Peace and explained the challenges the charity face to raise over 85% of money needed annually for them to carry on providing the services they offer in the community.
We were also delighted to sponsor the Rennie Grove Chiltern Three Peaks walk on 10th September. Our team joined the 800 walkers at the annual event to help raise essential funds for the charity, who support and empower people from diagnosis to live the best quality of life possible.
Lisa Meagher, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care said:
Over 800 supporters took on our 6.5, 10 or 18 mile challenge to support Rennie Grove Peace. Our intrepid walkers took on the September heatwave and their spirits weren’t dampened by the torrential downpours either! Our events are a success due to our volunteers and supporters on the day as well as continued support from our Corporate sponsors. R Benson have sponsored the Chiltern Three Peaks again this year and we couldn’t do it without their ongoing enthusiasm and support. Over the last 5 years they have raised an incredible £25k to support local people with life limiting illnesses. We love working with the team too and look forward to our partnership continuing as Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care.
Marcus Neal, Director at R Benson, says:
