Tough Mudder team raises £3,700 for Kids Cancer Charity

By 9th May 2019News

Congratulations to our team of 10 who successfully completed this year’s Tough Mudder Challenge and raised an incredible £3,700 for Kids Cancer Charity.

The event, which took place on the 4th May 2019, consisted of a cold, muddy 10 miles course with 25 obstacles that proved challenging for all. Team captain Russell Neal said “we had a great day out and worked together through the wet, cold and muddy course to cross the finish line as a team We would like to thank all our colleagues, suppliers, contractors, friends and families who have helped us raise these much-needed funds for Kids Cancer Charity

As part of the 2019 charity programme R. Benson covered all event costs and sponsored the team £500 to kick start their fundraising. All money raised will be sent directly to Kids Cancer Charity and will be used to support children and their families affected by cancer.

Andrew Talbot, Appeals Officer at Kids Cancer Charity said “R. Benson has been absolutely amazing in supporting Kids Cancer Charity with our Compassionate Care Respite Programme. These crisis breaks offer families of children with cancer much needed time away from the pressures of hospitals and treatment. Many children affected by cancer are not well enough to journey outside the country, so our luxury seaside caravans provide accessible respite for families who need a break closer to home. £3,700 will cover the cost of over 6 families to take a much-needed respite break, thank you so much! We hope R. Benson’s generosity will inspire more people to support our cause.”

This year R. Benson are committed to donating £20,000 to good causes and have teams participating in multiple events throughout the year for our three chosen charities including Chiltern Challenge 50km, London to Brighton Off Road Bike Challenge, Marathon and Half Marathon.
