Marcus and Mark Complete Marathon and Cycle

Congratulations to Marcus for completing a marathon and Mark and Paul for finishing a 110km cycle and collectively raising over £2,500 for charity.

On 15th September, Director, Marcus Neal completed the Richmond Marathon in an impressive time of 4 hours and 7 mins. This was his first Marathon and he has been training hard since January this year, regularly running a 15km route from work to home. Marcus has raised over £1,800 for his charity SeeAbiility.

On Saturday, 21st September, Contracts Manager, Mark Martin and Site Manager, Paul Burgess joined hundreds of other participants to cycle, off road, from London to Brighton. The route and the weather pushed Mark and Paul to their limits. They completed the distance in just 6 hours and 32 mins – leaving them plenty of time to enjoy a drink in the sunshine with their families. Mark has raised over £700 his charity Kids Cancer Charity.

These fundraising events are part of our 2019 fundraising programme  which has already raised over £15,500 for our three chosen charities, BRIGHT Cancer Care, Kids Cancer Charity and SeeAbility. Our final event of 2019 will see Lee O’Loughlin, Barry Smith and Paul Burgess take on the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 13th October for SeeAbility. To sponsor them and find out more visit the  R. Benson JustGiving page.
